Tam Thanh Nguyen
Originally from Vietnam, I have settled in Denmark since 2019 with my Danish husband. My work at Copenhagen Business School and FOF København og Nordsjælland (Folkeligt Oplysningsforbund) has strengthened my ability to conduct independent, critical research and to support liberal arts education and life-long learning.
This experience gives me a strong foundation for building my profile as an expert in Vietnamese Studies based in Denmark. Through several Danida-funded research projects on Vietnam and Asia, I have worked to share knowledge of the region with Danish society. As a teacher of Vietnamese language, culture, and business, I hope to help Danes and others build meaningful personal and professional connections with Vietnam.
In Vietnam, I spent 20 years working in international trade and business law, Vietnam’s business environment, law and policy, and capacity building at Hanoi Law University, gaining experience in academic leadership and legal advice. Now, based in Denmark, I am eager to establish an independent consultancy for foreigners on business and civil affairs in Vietnam.
