Presentation

I came from Vietnam to settle in Denmark in 2019 with my Danish husband after he had worked a decade in Vietnam as a director for several legal reform projects. Before joining the Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and starting a second career in Denmark, I worked at Hanoi Law University (HLU) in Vietnam for 20 years, with my last position being Dean of the Faculty of International Trade and Business Law.

I have conducted numerous legal and policy research projects for Vietnamese ministries and legislative agencies. I also managed various international cooperation activities at the HLU, in particular the EU-Vietnam trade support projects for nine years. I have worked on legal compliance for law firms and as manager of continued legal education for a large number of government officials and private businesses.

In addition, I have an extensive list of publications from my areas of expertise in international trade and business law, Vietnam’s business environment, Vietnam’s law and policy, free trade agreements, especially the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, and education reforms, including vocational training. My knowledge is enhanced by independent and critical research in Denmark, international consultancy, and by comparative approach to other developing countries, especially in the post-Soviet context.

Teaching Vietnamese language and legal Vietnamese for foreign business people has been my additional job for many years, and I still happily do it in Denmark, at FOF København og Nord Sjælland (Folkeligt Oplysnings Forbund).

I am now passionate about the chance to launch my next career in new challenges.
